The New Golden Mile is the development strip between Estepona town and San Pedro de Alcántara — the most-built section of the wider Costa del Sol coast over the last fifteen years. The label is partly a marketing one: this is mostly residential urbanisations, golf complexes and beachfront apartment blocks rather than the original Golden Mile’s grand boulevard. For buyers, the area’s strength is choice — beachfront new-builds at the high end, golf-side stock in the foothills, mid-market pool-complex apartments set back from the road. Build quality is more consistent than in older coastal stock because most of the supply was built post-2005 by established international developers.
The newest concentrated apartment supply on the western Costa del Sol. Buyers choosing between Estepona and Marbella often settle here because the build-quality benchmark is higher.
